Your Course Leader

Hey there,

I’m Skye, the Director of Y Vote and Global Civic Leaders.

I created Y Vote after feeling totally uninspired to vote at a federal election. I felt like my voice and my vote wouldn’t make a difference.

Since starting Y Vote, I’ve learnt about the power young people have to strengthen democracy. This journey has taken me into schools & universities, television & radio stations and international conferences including as an Australian delegate to the World Forum for Democracy, G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance and EU-Australia Leadership Forum.

Strengthening democracy is a large and complex undertaking. Improving the rate of youth voter participation and our civic leadership capabilities is a powerful place to begin.

To build our power at scale, we need young Australians to take action.

The courses available through Global Civic Leaders are designed to support you to get straight to the action and achieve high-impact results.

To help you achieve this I have combined my own experience and the stellar input of some amazing young leaders, change makers and entrepreneurs. I look forward to seeing you in there!
